Hamilton commemorates those who served in the raid on Dieppe
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the raid in France
Nearly 5,000 Canadians were involved in the Dieppe raid — considered one of the bloodiest in the history of the Canadian military, claiming the lives of more than 900.
On Saturday a memorial service was held at Dieppe Veterans Memorial Park to pay tribute to Canadians and in particular Hamilton soldiers who served in the raid on Dieppe.
