How does COVID-19 affect children? A pediatric emergency specialist takes your questions

Only three COVID-19 deaths, data in Ontario shows, have taken place among people 19 and under over the course of the pandemic.

However, hospitals are experiencing a spike in youth admissions. Earlier this month in Ontario, tragically, a 13-year-old girl infected with the virus died at her home in Brampton.

Live at noon on Tuesday the CBC's Conrad Collaco talks with Dr. Christopher Sulowski, Interim Chief of the Pediatric Emergency Department at McMaster Children's Hospital. He explains how COVID-19 is affecting children, and why it's still safe — and important — to go to emergency if care is required. Dr. Sulowski will also be taking your questions during the live conversation.
