Bob Barker wants Marineland killer whale included in ban

Bob Barker, former host of CBS's "The Price is Right," wants Canada's lone killer whale to be included in Ontario's proposed orca ban.
Barker says he spoke to Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne last week to urge her to include Kiska, a female killer whale at Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ont., in the ban.
The provincial government has recently introduced legislation that will ban the breeding and acquisition of killer whales, but proposed leaving Kiska out of the ban.
Barker says he felt compelled to call the premier to congratulate her on the proposed bill, but also to ask her to include Kiska in the ban.
He says public attitudes are changing toward captive animals and hopes the government will end killer whale captivity in Ontario.
Barker is an animal advocate who played a role with Zoocheck, an animal welfare agency, to relocate three elephants from the Toronto Zoo to a sanctuary in California in 2013.
