An altercation between a patient and two hospital staff members has hospitalised two nurses, according to police.
On Wednesday at around 8 a.m, Hamilton Police were contacted about the altercation at the West 5th Campus of St. Joseph's Hospital. Nurses were taken to a different hospital location by ambulance after they were assaulted by a 22-year-old patient, said Hamilton Police spokeswoman Catherine Martin. They were treated for minor injuries and released Wednesday.
The patient was arrested and charged with assault.
Martin said the Ministry of Labour is now investigating the incident.
