Two people managed to avoid injury after someone shot at a parked car on Limeridge Road West this weekend, police say. Now investigators are looking at least one suspect they say is armed.

Hamilton police say officers answered a report of a shooting around 6 p.m. Sunday. It happened on Limeridge Road West between Garth and West 5th streets.

A male had shot at two occupants in a vehicle in the parking lot, police say. The occupants weren't injured.

Two vehicles had left the parking lot — one dark, one silver — and police say those were involved in the shooting.

Police say they arrested two people at the scene but found they weren't involved.

Officers are looking for multiple suspects. One is described as a tall black male with a slight build wearing a black shirt with a white design. Police say he could be armed.

Police say this was targeted and there's no threat to the public. Several witnesses are working with police.
