We've heard the warnings about a low number of sockeye salmon returning to spawn in B.C. rivers this year.
    
But would you believe that salmonnumbers are high in the ocean?

That's according to the BC Environmental group Watershed Watch Salmon Society.

It says the high number of ocean salmon has been boosted by salmon released from hatcheries particularly hatcheries in Alaska and Japan, and they say that's a problem.
