The Kamloops Keg is closing. The iconic steakhouse in the historic CN Station on Lorne Street will shut down at the end of August. Some 60 full and part-time employees will be looking for work.

In a press release, the Keg says the local franchise owners have decided to concentrate on business ventures outside of the restaurant industry.

For reaction, we were joined by Bryce Herman. He's a restaurant consultant in Kamloops and local chair of the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association.
