That million dollar feeling- Winning the lottery in Kamloops
Our Access Granted series takes us through the steps when you present the winning ticket at BC Lotteries
Sitting on the couch, ticket in hand, as the numbers appear one by one before you.
And... can you believe it?
The numbers on the screen, match the ones on the ticket in front of you.
You've won one million dollars.
Few of us, an incredibly small number, will ever know that feeling.
We won't ever find out what it is like to be toured through the halls of BC Lottery Corporation carrying a giant cheque with our name on it.
Chances of winning are minuscule.
On a two-dollar 6-49 ticket, you have an approximately one in 14 million chance of winning.
And your chances of winning the Lotto Max are about 1 in 28.6 million.
But, as part of our Access Granted series here at Daybreak, we thought we'd try and get just a taste of that very unlikely feeling.
So we sent CBC's Samantha Garvey down to Lottery headquarters, pretending to possess the winning ticket.
