Cambridge-based cybersecurity firm eSentire is opening an office and security operations centre in Cork, Ireland this fall.
The company's CEO, J. Paul Haynes, said in a release that the Irish city has a tech ecosystem similar to Waterloo Region, which made it an attractive location. The Cork office will start with 15 employees, though the company says it could expand to as many as 100 over the next five years.
The Cork office will offer services for European Union-based companies.
ESentire already has one sales office in the United Kingdom, but the Ireland office will be the first to offer real-time monitoring.
