Carfentinal, fentanyl and other drugs seized from homes in Kitchener and Waterloo

A man and a woman have been arrested after police executed three search warrants in Kitchener and Waterloo as part of a drug investigation.

Police seized drugs, replica handguns and prohibited weapons when officers executed three search warrants at residences in Kitchener and Waterloo.

The drugs seized include carfentanil, fentanyl, crystal meth, cocaine, mushrooms, MDMA, heroin and marijuana, according to Waterloo regional police.

Along with the handguns, police seized knives and a flail, three balls with points on chains attached to a handle.

Police said a 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the search warrants.

During the arrest of the male suspect, police said officers discovered more carfentanil and meth, and seized prohibited weapons.
