Here are the federal candidates in Waterloo region, Guelph and Wellington County

Elections Canada has finalized the list of candidates for the April 28 federal election.

All ridings except Guelph have incumbents running to keep their seats in Ottawa

A federal election has been called and voters will go to the polls on April 28.

On Wednesday, Elections Canada said the list of candidates has been finalized.

Below are the local ridings and the candidates are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Cambridge

  • Lux Burgess, Green Party of Canada.
  • Connie Cody, Conservative Party of Canada.
  • Manuel Couto, Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada.
  • José de Lima, NDP.
  • Bryan May (incumbent), Liberal Party of Canada.

Kitchener Centre

  • Brian Adeba, Liberal.
  • Kelly DeRidder, Conservative.
  • Margaretha Dyck, United Party of Canada.
  • Mike Morrice (incumbent), Green.
  • Ellen Papenburg, Animal Protection Party of Canada.
  • Wasai Rahimi, People's Party of Canada (PPC).
  • Heather Zaleski, NDP.

Kitchener-Conestoga

  • Maya Bozorgzad, NDP.
  • Kevin Dupuis, PPC.
  • Tim Louis (incumbent), Liberal.
  • Doug Treleaven, Conservative.

There is no Green candidate in Kitchener-Conestoga.

Kitchener South-Hespeler

  • Valerie Bradford (incumbent), Liberal.
  • Lorne Bruce, NDP.
  • Kathleen Dueck, United Party of Canada.
  • Ethan Russell, Green.
  • Matt Strauss, Conservative.
  • Randy Williams, PPC.

Waterloo

  • Waseem Botros, Conservative.
  • Bardish Chagger (incumbent), Liberal.
  • Santa Claus Chatham, Rhinocéros Party.
  • Héline Chow, NDP.
  • Simon Guthrie, Green.
  • Jamie Hari, Independent.
  • Val Neekman, Independent.

  • Douglas Ross, PPC.

Guelph

  • Elaine Baetz, Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada.
  • Janice Folk-Dawson, NDP.
  • Gurvir Khaira, Conservative.
  • Dominique O'Rourke, Liberal.
  • Jeff Swackhammer, PPC.
  • Michael Wassilyn, Independent.
  • Yurii Yavorskyi, Canadian Future Party.

Note: Current Liberal MP Lloyd Longfield is not seeking re-election.

Wellington-Halton Hills North

Perth-Wellington

There is no Green candidate in Perth-Wellington.
