The Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual tradition, but this year's route is going to change substantially because of LRT construction.
The October 12 parade will start in Kitchener and end in Waterloo this year. Traditionally, the parade orginates in Waterloo and heads south along King Street.
This year, the parade will start at 8:45 a.m. at the corner of King Street and Cedar Street in Kitchener, then continue on King to Victoria Street. At Victoria Street, the parade will continue to Weber Street, then turn left and continue on Weber until it ends at the intersection of Weber and Bridgeport Road.
