It's another busy weekend in and around Waterloo region and the smoke that has remained over the region this past week is expected to move east over the next few days.

There's a Craft Gin Festival in Elora Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. or head over to Cambridge for a Celtic Celebration/Kitchen Party at Wave Maker Brewery that includes local musicians like Robbie McMaster, Darren Rust, Geraldine Quinn Macwilliams and Cabertoss Music. Food will also be available.

The Grand Porch Party is also on in Waterloo this Sunday.

This week on CBC K-W's The Morning Edition, host Craig Norris heard about the Cycling Guide, a new app to help people get where they want to go around the area on low-stress routes. Listen to the interview to learn more about that and plan your bike rides for the weekend.
