Man and woman from Oshawa charged in connection with Kitchener shooting

Two people from Oshawa have been arrested and charged in connection with a Kitchener shooting earlier in the month that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries. 

Shooting happened on March 5 near Vanier Drive and Massey Avenue

Two people from Oshawa have been arrested and charged in connection with a Kitchener shooting earlier in the month that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries. 

It happened just after 2 a.m. on March 5, in the area of Vanier Drive and Massey Avenue.

Police found a 30-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, the Waterloo Regional Police Service along with Durham Regional Police Service, arrested two people in connection to the investigation.

A 28-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with:

  • Aggravated assault.
  • Break and enter.
  • Forcible confinement.
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
  • Two counts of point firearm.
  • Fail to comply with release order.
  • Firearm or weapon: possession contrary to prohibition order.

A 20-year-old Oshawa woman was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.
