Man taken to out-of-region hospital after shooting in Kitchener early Monday

Regional police received reports of a man with gunshot wounds just after 2:00 a.m Monday morning. An investigation determined the victim had been shot two hours earlier.

A 40-year-old man has been taken to an out-of-region hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting just after midnight on Monday.

Waterloo regional police say a shooting happened in the area of Highland Road E. and Ruby Street in Kitchener at 12:15 a.m.

Police received a report around 2:10 a.m, that a man had received injuries from a gunshot in the Woodside Park area. Officers determined the man had been injured two hours earlier.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
