Man dead after stabbing in downtown Guelph, police say

Guelph police say a 27-year-old man is dead after a Saturday night stabbing outside a pool hall in downtown Guelph.

Guelph police say a 27-year-old man is dead after a Saturday night stabbing outside a pool hall in downtown Guelph.

Three men were involved in a "disturbance" on the sidewalk outside the MacDonell St. business, police say. The 27-year-old man received life-threatening stab wounds and was taken to hospital, where police say he died of his injuries.

The other two men fled the scene and were arrested by two nearby patrol officers, police say.

On Sunday morning, police said the other two men were being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
