Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo have declared overnight parking bans Thursday due to expected snowfall.

Quotes from releases from the cities:

  • Kitchener: "Residents have until 11:59 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 to remove their parked cars from city streets or risk receiving an $80 ticket and being towed at the owner's expense. The parking ban will remain in effect for 24 hours - until 11:59 p.m. Friday."
  • Cambridge: "A significant snow event is in effect for the City of Cambridge beginning at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 until 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. Any vehicles parked on-street during the snow event may be ticketed and/or towed. Residents are also reminded not to push snow from their driveway onto the road."
  • Waterloo: "Residents must remove cars from streets by midnight tonight or risk being ticketed and towed. The parking ban will remain in effect for 24 hours until 11:59 p.m. on Friday."

In a release earlier this week, Guelph asked residents to help during snowstorms by:

  • "Clearing storm drains to prevent streets from flooding.
  • Clearing a path around fire hydrants for easy access for emergency services.
  • Shovelling sidewalks and windrows for elderly and disabled residents by signing up for Snow Angels.
  • Driving slow and never passing a snow plow."
