Kitchener man arrested in relation to ongoing fentanyl investigation
Investigation led to the search of two Kitchener homes in January
A 37-year-old Kitchener man is facing numerous charges after search warrants executed at two Kitchener homes in January turned up large amounts of fentanyl, heroine, meth and weapons.
The man was arrested in Stratford on Feb. 2, police said in a release on Tuesday.
On Jan. 12, police arrested a 34-year-old Kitchener man. Police said that man was found with a loaded handgun, a large amount of Canadian currency and more than $15,000 worth of fentanyl and meth.
The investigation lead to the search of two Kitchener homes on Courtland Avenue and Fairview Avenue, which turned up more fentanyl, heroine, meth, marijuana and psilocybin (mushrooms).
Police said the drugs and weapons seized during those two searches had an estimated street value of $246,000.
The men face numerous charges. Police said no other arrests are anticipated.
