Waterloo region woke up to a snowy morning Tuesday and some CBC Kitchener-Waterloo listeners and readers shared their photos of the winter wonderland.

The photos included backyard bird feeders, the Laurel Trail and even the beginnings of a backyard rink.

Snow is expected to end Tuesday morning, but flurries are forecasted to pick back up around noon with a total of 2 cm falling. Wind will be blowing from northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h near noon. The temperature is expected to stay around the freezing mark.

Wednesday will see a mix of sun and cloud with a chance for flurries in the morning.

While it may be tempting to take a photo while driving, the Waterloo Regional Police Service reminded people you are not allowed to hold your phone while driving.
