Library users in Waterloo region will now have the chance to borrow an admissions pass to TheMuseum from their local library, just as they would borrow a book.

TheMuseum has partnered with the Kitchener Public Library, Waterloo Public Library, Idea Exchange and Region of Waterloo Library, aiming to connect people to other arts and culture hubs of the community.

"This lending program will provide opportunities for quality family time through play, discovery and learning," Paige Phillips, director of development and membership for TheMuseum, said in a release.

"This is just the next step in our efforts to create accessibility, a great compliment to our Sun Life Access Pass program that invites individuals from non-profit service organizations to join us for free."

The borrowed pass works as a free admission ticket for a family of up to two adults and up to four children. Families can borrow the pass for one week at a time.

However, the pass won't be valid for TheMuseum specially-ticketed events, camps, or workshops.
