WestJet scraps red-eye flight from Calgary to Waterloo region
WestJet has changed it's red-eye flight from Calgary to Waterloo region to an evening flight, with the plane scheduled to land just after midnight.
Instead, there will be an evening flight, landing here just after midnight
WestJet says it has listened to customers who disliked its red-eye flight from Calgary to the Region of Waterloo International Airport.
The overnight flight has been changed to an evening flight. It will now depart Calgary at 6:30 p.m. ET and land in Waterloo region at 12:06 a.m. ET. The change comes into effect March 8.
The morning flight back to Calgary has not changed.
"We have listened to the community and WestJet was able to source some additional aircraft time to switch from the overnight to a late evening flight into Waterloo," spokesperson Lauren Stewart said in an email.
This new schedule will be for the summer and next winter, she said.
WestJet offers daily flights between the two destinations.
