Libya hints Lockerbie offer may be acceptable
A lawyer for two Lybian suspects in the Lockerbie bombing says he would accept proposals for a trial in The Hague under Scottish law.
The Libyan lawyer says there must be guarantees of a fair trial and the United Nations must drop sanctions against Libya once it guarantees to send the suspects to trial.
It's the first Libyan reaction to the U.S and British proposal. Previously, the two countries wanted the trial in the U.S. or Scotland. The Libyans are accused in the bombing of a Pan Am jet over Lockerbie Scotland in 1988 that killed 270 people.
