3 songs from London Morning to boost your playlist

London Morning's associate producer, Ryan Soulliere, listens to a lot of music for his role, picking tunes for the show. In any given week, that's about 25 songs. Here are his top three local and Canadian picks from last week.

Lucy Morgan - Sitting Out Coffee  

First up is a super chill song to ease into your weekend morning. Lucy Morgan's Sitting Out Coffee is soft, calm and soothing. Morgan's vocals float over a dreamy bed of acoustic guitars and warm synthesizers, leaving you feeling ready to start your day calm and at peace.

Texas King - Boomerang

Throwback tune Boomerang by Texas King is full of life, energy and maybe an urge to jump on the furniture. Boomerang is one of Texas King's songs that is evidence that when it comes to making music, the London rock band jumps in with gusto. You can see Texas King at Tillsonburg TurtleFest this Saturday night, and slide the song into any party playlist.

Rick White and The Sadies - Standing in The Yard

Rick White and The Sadies self-titled album just made the 2025 Polaris Music Prize long list, and that is where you'll find the track Standing in The Yard. This jangly, guitar-driven song sounds like a time warp back to the 1960s. Complete with vocal harmonies, a great beat and a catchy chorus, Standing in The Yard is ideal for motivating your weekend chores and maybe even working in the yard.
