A London, Ont., man is facing charges following a voyeurism investigation in the city's central area.

On Oct. 22, the London Police Service (LPS) was called to a residence in the area of Talbot and Huron streets at around 1:20 a.m. ET in response to a report of an indecent act.

Residents of the house had received a notification from their doorbell camera, police said. When they viewed the surveillance footage, they saw an unknown man exposing himself while looking through a window at a female inside the home.

The suspect fled on foot after the residents of the house called out. They then provided a description to police, who were at first unable to locate the suspect using a member of their canine unit.

The investigation was reassigned to the LPS sexual assault and child abuse section. Investigators reviewed the surveillance footage and identified the suspect.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with voyeurism and trespass at night.

Investigators are aware of at least one other similar incident reported in the area. He is described as male, white, approximately 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, with a shaved/bald head and black beard. He was wearing a light hoodie and dark pants at the time of the reported offence.

The LPS is hoping additional victims or witnesses will contact them.
