2 dead after crash in Perth County

Two people are dead following a crash between a passenger and commercial vehicle in the Township of Perth East in southwestern Ontario on Wednesday afternoon.

Two people are dead following a crash between a passenger and commercial vehicle in the Township of Perth East in southwestern Ontario on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision happened just before 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the Perth County OPP detachment, which said first responders were called at that time to a serious incident at the intersection of Perth Road 121 and Line 67.

Upon arriving, police found a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle collided at the intersection, killing both occupants of the passenger vehicle.

The occupants were Woolwich residents, ages 75 and 76, who have not been named by police.

The driver of the commercial vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
