Azraya Kokopenace, 14, missing from Kenora, Ontario

A 14-year-old girl is missing from Kenora, Ontario Provincial Police say.

Police say she was last seen going into a wooded area across from the Lake of the Woods District Hospital

A 14-year-old girl is missing from Kenora, Ontario Provincial Police say.

Azraya Kokopenace was last seen leaving the Lake of the Woods District Hospital at 11:20 p.m. on Friday. According to police, she was seen going into a wooded area across from the hospital on Lakeview Drive.

Members of the Kenora OPP, the Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and an OPP K9 unit are all searching the area.

Judi Kokopenace, a relative of Azraya's living in Kenora, said not knowing the 14-year-old's whereabouts is "painful."

"[There are] people talking about it on the streets," she said. "I told [the police] I would keep my ears open and my eyes open to find her to make sure she's safe.

"I want to help out because she's my relative.... Hoping we can find her alive."

Kokopenace is described as five feet five inches tall with a slim build; brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans.
