The blue knit jersey features the Jets' first logo. Hull wore it after he left the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks to play for the Jets in the World Hockey Association. In what was the largest contract of the day, Hull signed with the Jets as a player and manager for one million dollars.

The jersey was sold in Classic Auctions, an auction that focuses on historical hockey memorabilia. The auction is also responsible for the sale of Paul Henderson's 1972 Team Canada "The Goal" game-worn jersey, which sold for $1.2 million dollars.
