Swimmers who usually go to the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex will have to go elsewhere for the next couple days, as crews clean up from a "fouling" in the water.

The City of Winnipeg announced Monday that the centre's swimming pool is "closed until further notice due to unscheduled maintenance caused by a fouling."

The pool will reopen once tests confirm the water is safe. The city says it should reopen "within the next couple of days."

The weight room, sauna, change rooms and other registered programs at the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, located at 999 Sargent Ave., are not affected and will remain open, the city says.
