Planned tower maintenance to cause radio outages for CBC Manitoba, March 4-8

Necessary maintenance to impact CBC’s radio signal, March 4-8

CBC Manitoba listeners may be impacted by planned service interruptions from time to time, due to tower maintenance. During these outages, listeners can tune into CBC Radio One, on 89.3 FM, on CBC Listen, and on the local section of the CBC news app

Upcoming scheduled service interruptions:

  • Bell-MTS requires work to be done on their Flin Flon, MB tower which will intermittently affect our 90.9, 92.7 and 93.3 services for the area. The outage period is planned from Tuesday March 4, 2025 until Saturday Mar 8, 2025 starting at 8:35am and ending at 6pm each day. Outages will be kept to a minimum. Note: Cranberry Portage 88.9 may also be affected since it receives the signal from Flin Flon.

Recent outages:

  • February 11-13, 2025, the Baldy Mountain Tower lights repair required intermittent interruption or outage of the CBC Radio One 105.3MHz transmission, as the tower crew required. During this period, CBC CBWW - FM 105.3MHz was be on reduced power or shutdown as needed.
