The union representing City of Winnipeg employees is taking shots at Mayor Sam Katz and his councillors.
A new TV ad by CUPE Local 500 accuses the city of privatizing and contracting out city services, like garabage collection and water.
It also says the city is selling public infrastructure, including its firehalls, to friends.
"They're selling off our infrastructure, tried to sell firehalls to their friends and want to privatize parks, golf courses, and arenas," the ad states.
The ad claims the privatization will result in higher costs and service cuts to the average Winnipegger and encourages the mayor and city council to reconsider those decisions.
It runs until the end of November.
