Departed Manitoba NDP staffers paid nearly $700K in severance

Seven Manitoba NDP staffers who parted ways with Premier Greg Selinger's government as a result of the party rebellion cost the province almost $700,000.

Seven Manitoba NDP staffers who parted ways with Premier Greg Selinger's government as a result of the party rebellion cost the province almost $700,000.

The seven staff were paid out a combined $670,000 in severance. 

The departed staff include Selinger's former chief of staff Liam Martin.

Three former directors in Alissa Brandt, Anna Rothney and Jen Anthony, who backed Theresa Oswald's bid to take Selinger's job during the recent party leadership election, also left their positions and were given severance packages.

Meaghan Dewar, Matt Williamson and Sally Housser round out the ex-staffers to receive severance packages.
