Friends and family gathered to mourn a member of a controversial hip-hop band Saturday at Winnipeg's Calvary Temple.
Jamie Prefontaine, known as Brooklyn of Winnipeg's Most, has died at age 30. (CBC)
Jamie Prefontaine, a member of Winnipeg's Most who went by the stage name Brooklyn, died last month at age 30.
His family asked the cause of death not be released.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking people make donations to Drag the Red, a group that is dragging the Red River again to find missing or murdered aboriginal women.
