As part of a week-long series of stories leading up the mayor's racism forum in Winnipeg, CBC's Marjorie Dowhos is hosting live chat tonight from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Her guests will be:

  • Omar Siddiqui, a Crown attorney and founder of the Canadian Muslim Leadership Institute.
  • Tasha Spillett, who was named as one of CBC's Manitoba Future 40 — a list of Manitobans, voted on by the public, who are making a positive impact in the community.

The question they will discussing is: "Has race played a role in your life?"

ONE: The Mayor's National Summit on Racial Inclusion is a partnership led by the City of Winnipeg and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. It goes Sept. 17 and 18, and the museum.
