The city's Chinese and Cultural Community Centre hosts the festivities Saturday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Street closures in that area include King Street between James Avenue and Alexander Avenue and Rupert Avenue at King Street.
This year, the event features new attractions such as a petting zoo (Saturday only) and Cantonese opera (Sunday).
As usual, there will be lion dancers, world music and more.
It's all free.
Officials said Winnipeg's Chinese community has grown from 200 people in the early 1900s to 20,000 today.
