Driver in his 40s dead after car crash in St. Boniface

A driver in his 40s died in hospital after his car and another vehicle collided in Winnipeg's St. Boniface neighbourhood Sunday night.

A driver in his 40s died in hospital after his car collided with another vehicle in Winnipeg's St. Boniface neighbourhood Sunday night.

Winnipeg police say officers responded to the crash at Lagimodiere Boulevard and Cottonwood Road around 10:15 p.m. Sunday. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries.

Police have notified the man's family of his death.

The driver of the other vehicle, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital in stable condition, police said in a news release Monday. He was treated for minor injuries and has met with police.
