About 300 people in Cormorant, Man., were told to leave their homes as wildfires force yet another mandatory evacuation in the province's north.
Residents of Cormorant were told to leave the community north of The Pas at 1 p.m. Tuesday, the province said in its latest fire bulletin.
The out-of-control fire was 800 hectares in size and about 12 kilometres north of Cormorant, the bulletin said.
The community is about 60 kilometres northeast of The Pas as the crow flies, and about 525 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
Cormorant's community council said in a Facebook post that buses would take residents with no other means of transportation. The evacuees' reception centre will be in the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg.
