The cost of Winnipeg's Investor’s Group Field is still on the rise.

The province has committed another $1.5 million so the group that manages the stadium can sign off on outstanding construction costs with the builder.

That brings the cost to date of the stadium to $210-million.

The extra money will cover costs not included in the original design plan.

It paid for upgrades to the concession areas and improvements for drop-off and loading outside the facility.

BBB Stadium Inc. said the $450-thousand cost to fix water damage from a leaks this spring will be mostly covered by insurance, but the group will have to pay another $50-thousand to cover the deductible.
