Man, 27, wanted for 2nd-degree murder in death of Edgar Allan Bear in Winnipeg

A 27-year-old man is wanted by police in the death of 56-year-old Edgar Allan Bear in Winnipeg last week.

A 27-year-old man is wanted by police in the death of Edgar Allan Bear in Winnipeg last week.

Maxim Dale Garneau is facing a charge of second-degree murder and is considered dangerous, police said in a Thursday news release.

Bear, 56, was found dead in a house on Selkirk Avenue near McNichol Street, in the city's Shaughnessy Park neighbourhood, on the afternoon of March 18.

Anyone with information on Garneau's whereabouts is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service's homicide unit at 204-986-6508.
