Additional passes for those needing financial assistance have been set aside and are being offered through sponsorship, the Mayor's Office said in a press release Friday.
"Organizers will ensure that the opportunity exists for participation by all, regardless of ability to pay," the release said.
The office is predicting that a waitlist for attendance at the event is imminent and they will be working to accommodate as many people as possible.
"Our community has truly come together in their willingness to demonstrate that we are prepared to play a leadership role in addressing an issue of such great importance in Manitoba and across our nation," said Mayor Brian Bowman.
Total capacity for the events on the Thursday of the conference is 450 while attendance on Friday is capped at 350.
