Man stabbed to death in Winnipeg's North End

A 22-year-old man is dead after he was stabbed early Tuesday in Winnipeg's North End.

A 22-year-old man is dead after he was stabbed early Tuesday in Winnipeg's North End.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Burrows Avenue and Salter Street around 3:45 a.m. and the man was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

He was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made.

Police tape extended from the front door of an apartment block on Burrows, past a Bell MTS building and around the corner to a convenience store on Salter at Alfred Avenue on Tuesday morning.

Westbound Burrows, between Salter and Powers streets, is closed and investigators are expected to be there for some time.

Anyone with information or video surveillance footage that could help the investigation is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS.
