Police say a missing 14-year-old girl in Manitoba has been found safe.

RCMP received a report Tuesday morning that the teen was missing. In a news release on Saturday evening, Mounties said the girl had been found.

She had last been seen on April 18 at her home in Lac du Bonnet, a town about 90 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.

It was believed she was picked up and taken to Winnipeg, police said.

RCMP described her in a Thursday news release as five foot nine and 125 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

CBC News has removed the photo and name of the girl to protect her identity because she is a minor.
