RCMP say they've been advised of a man's death in a holding cell on a northern Manitoba reserve.
The RCMP detachment at Island Lake says it was contacted Saturday about a man who was found dead in the cell owned and operated by the Garden Hill First Nation.
The 44-year-old had been taken into custody by band constables.
The RCMP's major crime service as well as the forensic identification section from Thompson have joined an investigation into the sudden death.
