Missing man, 85, safely located, Winnipeg police say

An 85-year-old man who had been missing in Winnipeg since Friday morning has been found, city police say.

The man had last been seen in downtown Winnipeg at around 7:30 a.m. A silver alert was issued.

Winnipeg police said in an update Friday evening the man was safely located.

CBC News has removed the man's name and photograph now that he's been found in order to protect his privacy.
