Skywalk linking hotel, Winnipeg's convention centre reopens

The skywalk connecting the Delta Hotel and RBC Convention Centre in downtown Winnipeg is finally reopening — but only temporarily.

The skywalk was shut down April 9 after inspectors noticed it needed structural repairs.

It reopens Friday and will stay open until after the Grey Cup festivities have concluded. Then it will close briefly, for one last time, to allow crews to remove construction materials.

After that it will be permanently reopened for pedestrians, a news release from the city stated.
