A South Osborne community group has booked local musicians and DJs to play a benefit concert for Syrian refugees this month.

Sweet Alibi, DJ Co-Op and The Bonaduces are playing the benefit show at The Park Theatre on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

The South Osborne Syrian Refugee Initiative and Churchill Park United Church are organizing the event.

SOSRI has a fundraising goal of $60,000 that will be donated to two Syrian families who have relatives living in the area.

They've already raised more than $50,000, and they're hoping the benefit concert will put them over the top.

Tickets to the show are $20 for general admission and $15 for students or low-income families.

The group is also accepting donations on a Go Fund Me page.
