The 14th annual Gimli Film Festival wraps up Sunday night with a mix of short and feature-length films.
Winnipeg-born Ryan McKenna showed two films this year: The First Winter and Controversies.
McKenna said it was an honour to be asked to come home to showcase his work.
“The experience of going to see a lot of these films, a lot of these films don’t have distributors, so you won’t see them anywhere else,” said McKenna. “And it's always a great experience to watch films and learn and grow that way.”
Screenings start at noon Sunday.
The festival ends with a 10 p.m. showing of Dark Side of the Rainbow on the Beach Screen.
