This long weekend, while families take in the sunshine, get the garden prepped or just enjoy an extra day off work, a few key city services are closed in Winnipeg.

Recycling, garbage and yard waste will be collected as normally scheduled on the Victoria Day holiday, but Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday.

All leisure centres and City of Winnipeg swimming pools, except the Pan Am Pool and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, will be closed on Monday.

Libraries are also closed on Monday and the Winnipeg Public Library switches to summer hours starting after the long weekend. For more information visit the library website.

The Winnipeg Parking Authority is closed Friday through to Monday.

Last but certainly not least for people looking to tee up, Crescent Drive, Harbour View, John Blumberg, Kildonan Park and Windsor Park Golf Courses will be open all weekend, including Monday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
