So long, snow: Temperatures set to soar in southern Manitoba

An impatient spring is shoving winter aside in southern Manitoba, bringing warm temperatures for the next several days.

An impatient spring is shoving winter aside in southern Manitoba, bringing warm temperatures for the next several days.

Daytime highs on Thursday will range from 4 C to 10 C across the south, with the highest numbers out west in Virden (10 C), Dauphin (8 C) and Brandon (6 C).

Winnipeg will get a slightly cooler sampling at 4 C but the next four days in the city will hit highs between 8 C and 11 C.

  • Wind south 10 km/h in the morning.
  • Wind southeast 20-30 km/h in the afternoon.
  • TONIGHT a few clouds.
  • South wind of 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h near midnight.
  • Overnight low 1 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are a daytime high of –2 C and an overnight low of –12 C.
