It'll be a hot day, but a much quieter one in southern Manitoba.

The sky is expected to be clear, sunny and a lot less angry than it was Wednesday evening, when violent storms pushed across the southern part of the province, producing at least one tornado and leave a trail of damage.

Temperatures across southern Manitoba will be in the 30s once again but the humidity levels won't reach the 40-mark that they did yesterday.

Winnipeg forecast

  • High 31 C (humidex 35).
  • UV index 8 or very high.
  • Sunny and not quite as humid as past few days.
  • Wind west 20 km/h in morning, 30-40 km/h in afternoon.
  • Clear in evening.
  • Low 17 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are a daytime high of 26 C and an overnight low of 13 C.
