A wet morning is expected to turn into clouds before the Heritage Classic matchup in Winnipeg on Sunday.

There may be a few lingering showers in the morning but they should stay east of the Red River Valley by the afternoon, according to CBC meteorologist John Sauder. He said the sun will try to make an appearance in the afternoon during the Heritage Classic game.

The damp game day will be followed by a few days of above seasonal temperatures and dry conditions to start the week.
